Christmas tis the season to be jolly but many people end up drinking more than they should.
Alcohol consumption in Britain increases by 40% in December, more than any other country in the world. Whilst the majority of people drink responsibly at this time of year, there is bound to be some that are beginning to suffer the short term effects ‘of over doing it’, such as temporary memory loss, nausea and dehydration. The long term damage of excessive drinking on your health however can be much worse.
If you need help counting your units over the festive period use our online drinks calculator.
You can also use the official NHS Drinks Tracker to quickly calculate units, keep on top of your drinking and get personalised feedback to your mobile.
Further information can also be found on the Rochdale Borough Council website.
